2009 BOOK SUBMISSIONS

It's that time of the year again when we call for submissions for the next edition of the Semi-Permanent book. As always there are no rules in terms of the style of artwork. It can be anything that can be formatted to the correct size and then printed.

A few things to keep in mind:

1. Please read the guidelines carefully before submitting. Any submissions that do not follow the guidelines will not be considered.

2. Do not just email us a load of random artwork that you have not even adjusted to the correct size. We are not asking for your portfolio, we want specific submissions that you have either created for the book or chosen from your past work and resized into the appropriate format.

3. DO NOT send us high res files until we ask you to. This annoys the hell out of us and your work will not be considered for the book. If you do not have the correct software to reduce your files you should ask a friend to help you.

MAXIMUM OF 5 IMAGES PER PERSON
Please send all your images in one email

DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES: 30 NOVEMBER 2008

FINAL FILE SPECIFICATIONS
------
Size: 190mm wide x 250mm high (portrait)
Resolution: 300dpi
Colour: CMYK
Other: Please make sure your images are formatted to the correct size as we do not want to have to crop your artwork. We prefer that the artist crops the work so that they are totally happy with how it will look once in the book.

SENDING US THE FILE
------
Here's an easy guide to saving your file and sending it to us. This guide assumes you are using a program such as Photoshop:

1. Reduce your high res file to 72dpi (screen res)

2.
Save a low res version as a JPG at approx 70% quality. Each JPG file should be no bigger than 300k. Please make sure that the total size of your email to us is no more than 2mb.

3.
Email the JPG/s to:
sp09book [at] semipermanent.com

4.
If your work makes it into the book we will contact you to ask for the high resolution (300dpi) file. DO NOT send the high res file unless we contact you.

Please note that due to the large volume of submissions we cannot reply to all emails.

Thanks to everyone who submits!
